Happy New Year From Flowrmd.com

Flowers are an affordable luxury which we can all use this month to brighten our days!

January is time to pay the holiday bills and dream of spring. But you can bring some spring inside affordibly while you're dreaming of even more sunshine. Yellow is a great floral color this month, so buy a few yellow Gerbera daisies or chrysanthemums and bring home some smiles. Even 3-5 stems, a small bouquet, can brighten up the kitchen table or your computer desk. Add a splash of purple, stock or carnation, for a bright combination. Want to soften the look a little, add some pink or light orange mini-carnations for another great spring combination.

Flower Tip Of The Month

Health and prosperity is key when beginning a new year. To keep flowers healthy for a long as possible this year, follow these simple steps:

  • Immediately cut an inch to an inch-and-a-half off of the stems while holding them under water.
  • Place the flowers in fresh, clean water.
  • Add floral preservative/flower food.
  • Keep the leaves above the water line.
  • And be sure to re-cut the stems and replace the water every 2-3 days.
